Building a Healing Platform

As my body grew stronger, I felt called to explore power yoga, vinyasa, SUP yoga, prenatal yoga, and additional fascia therapy courses. I began teaching in gyms, rented spaces, and eventually opened my own studio in Alkmaar, The Netherlands.

When Covid hit, I had to shift quickly. That's when I launched my online course platform: learning.mindeventsfactory.com. I offered programs like Breathe Better and Yin & Fascia Therapy, which supported many people during lockdown, and continue to be followed by both individuals and professionals.

Over time, the platform grew to include a wide variety of classes and even courses from other teachers. In 2022, I moved to Southern France with my partner and baby on the way. I now focus on selling online courses and running private retreats in nature.

Last year, I hosted Back to Nature and Mom & Child retreats in Southern France. At the moment, I'm on a short pause due to my second pregnancy and preparing for a move into our new home. Lessons I've Learned

When I opened my first studio, it was in a simple, low-cost space shared with artists. I bought a few yoga mats and props and just started. I stayed there for two years until the building was taken down, then moved to a more serious studio space. A few months later, Covid hit, right after I'd signed a new lease.

But I've learned to look for opportunity in every challenge. I quickly turned my most popular live courses into online programs, which helped me cover the studio rent—and even brought in more income than before. That sustained me until 202], the year we decided to move to France.

After moving, I rented out my Dutch studio to other yoga teachers and therapists. Eventually, I handed it over completely to my most trusted client, John van Roosmalen, a Rolfing and massage therapist. The space continues to thrive as a hub for healing and movement.
