From the Mat to the Mission

A turning point came during a Christmas break when I volunteered at a yoga retreat outside Sydney. The experience changed my inner compass. I realized that what I truly valued—purpose, connection, and well-being—had little to do with the corporate ladder I was climbing. Leaving my stable job in construction wasn't easy. I packed up my apartment in Sydney and began traveling across Australia, learning from mentors and exploring yogic philosophies. Within months, I completed my teacher training and started teaching—even before I was officially certified.

Since 2022, I've taught yoga across Queensland and New South Wales, blending movement with astrology, Traditional Chinese Medicine, and mindfulness. I've worked with elderly populations, children, professionals, and festival attendees, always with the intention of making yoga accessible, inclusive, and healing.

Today, I'm back in Spain, sharing everything I've learned through in-person and online offerings that bridge ancient practices with modern needs.

Building a Purpose-Led Business

A few months into my training, I felt called to combine yoga with astrology—two practices that had deeply transformed me. I began teaching in a small studio, then moved into the online space to reach more people. It wasn't long before I realized that to sustain and scale this vision, I needed to invest in myself—not just as a teacher, but as a business owner.

I worked with mentors, built a supportive team, and created systems that allowed me to grow without burning out. My background in project management helped, but I learned that no amount of planning could replace the need for courage, self-belief, and adaptability.

Lessons I've Learned

Running a yoga business is nothing like working in a corporate structure. I went from delegating tasks to doing everything on my own—email replies, content creation, backend systems. It was overwhelming at first, but I adapted.

I've come to understand that mindset is everything. Strategy matters, but your inner world shapes your outer success. What surprised me most is how the things I once avoided—tech, admin, planning—became parts of the process I now enjoy.

I've also learned that entrepreneurship doesn’t have to be lonely. There's a whole community of heart-centered people walking the same path. You just have to be open to finding them.

My Message to Founders

Trust the process—and trust yourself. Growth rarely follows a straight line. You'll invest in things and still stumble. But if you keep doing the inner work—unpacking beliefs, shifting patterns, building emotional resilience—you'll learn how to lead from a grounded place.

True leadership isn't about having all the answers. It's about responding instead of reacting. That alone will change everything.

My Mission

My mission is to make yoga accessible to everyone.

I believe yoga has the power to rewire the nervous system, regulate emotions, and return us to joy—not through external achievement, but through inner awareness. I want to help people experience life more consciously, feel more connected, and ultimately create a more grounded, compassionate society.

Yoga teaches us how to be present—and presence is the greatest gift we can offer ourselves and the world.

Business Takeaways

  • - How did you set up your yoga business Just a few months after enrolling in my certification, I felt a strong pull to combine two of the modalities I had explored over the years: yoga and astrology. I began by renting a small space and teaching classes in person. Before long, I transitioned into the online space, where I realised I could reach many more people—no need for them to commute, commit to long sessions, or even leave their homes. They could practise from wherever they were, in a way that suited their life.
  • - How did you scale your yoga business Growth came through a combination of listening to my students, trusting my intuition, and staying open to new formats. I offered a blend of in-person and online sessions, created programs that integrated astrology and Traditional Chinese Medicine, and partnered with studios, schools, gyms, and festivals throughout Queensland and New South Wales.
  • -What have you learned—as a person and a business owner Running your own business is a completely different world from being in a structured job. I used to manage teams and delegate tasks. Suddenly, I was doing everything—from the backend systems to the graphic design to replying to emails. At first, it was overwhelming and even frustrating. But I grew into it.
