Building Confidence Through Practice and Change
While pursuing a life coaching certification, Nafiye moved again — this time to Australia. Yoga remained a solo practice until a pivotal breakup in 2022 led her to a month-long teacher training in Bali. Initially intended only for personal growth, the training ignited something deeper. The knowledge she gained felt too powerful to keep to herself, and despite deep insecurities about her language skills, Nafiye bravely began to teach.
What she didn't expect was the overwhelming support and positive feedback from students — which began to rewrite her own beliefs about her voice and ability. But juggling banking and teaching brought a new challenge: she no longer identified with her corporate role.
Letting Go to Become Whole
After months of internal struggle, Nafiye made the bold decision to leave banking behind. Saying goodbye to the comfort of a stable income — especially while living alone in a foreign country — was terrifying. Yet the calling was clear.
She quickly found opportunities — first teaching yoga in a mental health clinic through a friend's referral, then a local gym, and later several studios. Her student-centered approach and genuine care opened more doors than she imagined. From regular studio classes to private sessions and corporate offerings, Nafiye built a sustainable yoga career rooted in authenticity.
A Mission Beyond the Mat
At the heart of Nafiye’s work is a powerful mission: to help people wake up to their unique gifts and live their purpose — even when doubts arise. Through yoga and coaching, she supports others in reconnecting with their inner knowing. Her journey is proof that even the most uncertain beginnings can lead to deeply purposeful outcomes.
A Message to Other Founders
You don't have to feel ready to begin — just start. I didn't think I was good enough, confident enough, or fluent enough, but I showed up anyway. And that changed everything.
It's okay to take the slower path. Your growth doesn't need to look like anyone else's. Trust your inner voice, even when it's whispering. Especially when it's whispering.
Say no to what doesn’t align. Not every opportunity will honor your worth, and that’s not a reflection of your value — it's a reminder to keep choosing environments where your light can shine.
Most importantly, care deeply. About your students, your work, and yourself. That energy comes back to you in ways you can't always predict — but it always does.
Keep showing up. The clarity, the confidence, and the calling will meet you there.

Business Takeaways
- Yoga Business Journey As I mentioned I wasn’t planning to teach as I was pretty insecure in my language skills. After I finished the training, I saw a friend of my who was a counselling in a mental health clinic. She wanted me to teach yoga at the clinic to the patients and spoke to her boss. That was literally how I started teaching then, there was this gym across from the branch that I was working as a banker, I applied there and got hired as a yoga instructor, then another studio… here I was teaching 4 classes per week then, took the leap and quitted banking. I only teach at the studios… I think genuinely caring about my students opened me more doors. I received extra classes, students reached out to me for private classes, working with other business to teach at corporations… these are the way I make my income from as a yoga instructor.
