Andy Zoltan describes himself first and foremost as a builder — an entrepreneur, a student of systems, psychology, and self-mastery. With a background in launching and scaling ventures, his deeper pursuit has always been about creating freedom: of time, location, expression, and ultimately, of self. He never fit the mold of a traditional “yoga guy.” He wasn’t drawn to yoga through a studio or a physical practice. His entry point was business. But business — unexpectedly — led him inward. Yoga came into his life when he launched DoYou.com, one of the earliest online yoga platforms. It started as a strategic move, but over time, the teachings of yoga began reshaping his inner world. It became less about a product — and more about a path.

How Yoga Came Into My Life

i actually started doing yoga after launching doyou.com, an online yoga platform. at the time, it was a business opportunity. i saw a massive wave coming in the wellness space, and i wanted to build something meaningful in that world. i wasn’t a practitioner yet — but building doyou brought me into close contact with yoga, and eventually, into the practice myself.

today, my version of yoga is probably not what most people imagine. i don’t do daily asana flows. my physical practice is calisthenics. but the part of yoga that stuck with me — and transformed me — is the breathwork, the meditation, and the spiritual discipline. yoga taught me self-awareness. humility. clarity. it became less about the body and more about the being.

What Challenges Did I Face?

i’ve faced many. building businesses from scratch. trying to lead without losing myself. chasing success, then realizing success without inner peace is just another form of failure. and when i entered the yoga space as someone who wasn’t a teacher, there were doubters. people who didn’t get what i was doing. i wasn’t trying to become a guru or lead a retreat — i was building infrastructure. tools. systems. support.

what challenged me most was owning my unique place in this world. i’m not here to teach yoga. i’m here to help yoga teachers succeed. and that mission, though unconventional, has changed everything for me.

How My Yoga Journey Evolved

my practice evolved into something deeply personal and practical. i draw from yoga’s inner teachings every day — in how i lead, how i think, how i live. it didn’t turn me into a yoga teacher, but it shaped the way i serve.

it led me to build impact — a company designed to help yoga and wellness teachers create thriving online businesses. i saw incredible teachers struggling to survive financially, even though their work was powerful. so i created systems to help them monetize their magic. to scale their gifts. to reach more people without burning out.

and that’s where yoga and business merged for me. i don’t teach poses. i build platforms. i don’t lead classes. i lead entrepreneurs. but it’s all yoga in the end — just in a different form. and through the work i do, we’ve helped teachers reach millions. and we’re just getting started.

How Did I Set Up My Yoga Business?

i didn’t set up a traditional yoga business. i wasn’t teaching classes or leading retreats. what i did was create infrastructure. i saw a huge gap in the industry — incredibly talented yoga teachers who were changing lives, but barely making ends meet. that didn’t make sense to me.

my first real move into this space was launching doyou.com, one of the earliest large-scale online yoga platforms. it was a bold play. i wasn’t a yogi. i was an entrepreneur who understood media, tech, and audience building. the risks were real — i invested years of my life, faced tons of resistance, and made mistakes. but i learned what works. i learned how to build systems that help yoga teachers succeed in the digital world.

How Did I Scale My Yoga Business?

with impact, everything we do is based on scale — but not the way most people think about it. we didn’t just throw money at ads or create generic templates. we focused on building systems that actually work for real teachers.

we created the blueprint — a proven step-by-step method that shows yoga teachers how to grow their audience, launch offers, build trust through content, and monetize without relying on studios or retreat bookings. we packaged it inside impact academy, our coaching program, and paired it with real mentorship, support, and tools.

we also launched impact studio — our software platform that allows teachers to build their courses, memberships, and marketing pages with zero tech overwhelm.

we’ve now helped hundreds of yoga and wellness coaches go from invisible to thriving — and we’ve done it without needing to hire more teachers or open studios. it’s all built around content, community, and clarity.

What I’ve Learned — As a Person and a Business Owner

the biggest shift for me was realizing that success in this space isn’t about shouting louder — it’s about simplifying. the teachers who win are the ones who own their story, understand their niche, and speak directly to the people they can help the most.

i’ve also learned that this industry is full of noise — fake gurus, terrible advice, and burnout culture. our job at impact is to cut through all of that with real strategy, real tools, and real results. to empower the people who actually care — the ones who are here to serve, not just sell.

personally, i’ve learned to lead with purpose. to stay grounded in service. and to never confuse visibility with value.

My Message to Other Yoga Founders

stop trying to do everything. stop copying trends. stop chasing virality.

instead — get radically clear on who you help, what result you deliver, and why it matters. build from that place. the world doesn’t need more noise. it needs more truth.

also — charge what you’re worth. your practice is sacred, but your business needs to be smart. you can’t serve others when you’re stuck in survival mode.

and finally — find mentors who’ve actually built what you want to build. skip the fluff. go straight to the source.
